Understanding the Authenticity Score
Not all events are created equal. To help communities identify truly authentic agricultural fairs, our algorithm analyzes the official schedule of every event and calculates a weighted ratio of agricultural programming versus pure commercial entertainment.
Tier 1: Core Agriculture
Livestock shows, 4-H competitions, crop judging, and agricultural education seminars. These form the backbone of a true fair.
Tier 2: Heritage & Community
Pro rodeos, heavy horse pulls, local food markets, and community traditions (like pie auctions and ambassador programs).
Tier 3: Entertainment
Midway rides, grandstand concerts, and demolition derbies. These are incredibly fun, but they dilute the agricultural purity score.
